Mado is a free, open-source terminal multiplexer designed specifically for macOS users. It helps developers streamline their workflow by allowing them to manage multiple terminal sessions within a single window, enhancing productivity without the need for mouse navigation.
What Mado does
Mado provides a native terminal environment that supports split panes and sidebar plugins, enabling users to organize their workspace efficiently. It is built entirely in Rust, ensuring high performance without relying on Electron. Mado also includes twenty-two customizable themes, allowing users to personalize the terminal's appearance to suit their preferences.
Who Mado is for
Mado is tailored for developers who are accustomed to using terminal multiplexers like tmux, Neovim, or Helix and prefer a keyboard-driven experience. It is ideal for indie founders and small teams looking for a powerful tool to manage their development tasks without switching between multiple windows. However, users who are not comfortable with command-line interfaces or those who primarily use GUI-based tools may find Mado less suitable for their needs.
Pricing & access
The pricing model for Mado is not specified. As an open-source tool, it is likely available for free, but users should check the official website for any updates or changes regarding access and usage.
