Mouta Studio is a melody editor for songwriters. Start a song by humming it, importing MIDI, or turning a vocal stem into notes, and Mouta shows you which lines work and which ones fall flat. Then you fix them note by note, and every edit you make is saved as a creative history you can export.
What Mouta Studio does
Hook Score. Every melody line gets a live score out of 130, based on eight features such as contour, rhythm, motif and singability. Each line is tagged Flat, UP, HOOK or DOWN. When you drag a note, the score updates right away, so you can see what each edit changes. Hook Score is a rule-based tool Mouta designed itself. It shows you where to work. It does not predict hits.
Replace and Rewrite. Select a weak line and Mouta offers candidates that fit the lines around it, shaped by the melodies you have marked as your taste. Rewrite breaks a phrase into small musical units and suggests other ways to write it. You listen, pick one, and keep editing.
Struct. See your whole song laid out section by section, so you can check where the hook lands and how the energy moves from verse to chorus.
Creative history. Every edit is recorded in order. You can replay how a song was built, step by step, and export the full history as an .llg file with a report of how the edits break down. Streaming platforms now ask artists to label how much AI went into a release, and this record makes that answer easy to give.
Start from any draft. Hum a line, play it on a MIDI keyboard, import a MIDI file, or ask for melody ideas. The newest way in is Vocal to MIDI: import the vocal stem of your own song with its full lyrics, including tracks you made in Suno, and Mouta turns the singing into notes on the piano roll with each word attached to its note. It works in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The result is a first draft of the transcription and will not be perfect, so Mouta marks the lines worth checking first.
Easy out. When the melody is done, export MIDI back to the DAW you already use. Digital distribution to streaming platforms is included in paid plans.
Where AI fits
You can ask Mouta for melody ideas when you are stuck, and Vocal to MIDI uses AI to transcribe singing into notes. The product is built around editing your own lines, and every note you keep is one you picked. The melody engine has no songs and no weights inside it.
Who it is for
Songwriters who can write melodies and lyrics but get stuck turning a draft into a finished song. Mouta helps you find the weak line and fix it, so the song you started is the song you finish.
Beginners are welcome too. You do not need music theory to hum a line and start shaping it.
It is a poor fit if you want one-click full tracks, ready-made background music, or a loop-based beat-making workflow.
Pricing
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with all features, Hook Score included. After that, Pro is US$25 per month or US$250 per year.
