GameSnitch was built to solve a real, persistent problem in gaming: prices are fragmented across regions and platforms, and consumers have no reliable way to distinguish a genuine discount from marketing noise. Every major storefront — PlayStation, Xbox, Steam — sets its own pricing by region, runs its own promotional calendar, and gives shoppers zero historical context.
A "50% off" badge could be a real cut from an all-time high, or it could be the same price the game has sat at for months. We saw that information gap and built the infrastructure to close it: daily automated crawlers that pull current listings across dozens of storefront regions, log every price change, and turn that raw data into a running historical record for millions of games and editions.
Regional price comparison is one of our strongest engagement drivers and a clear differentiator. Users select a game and instantly see pricing across every region we track, normalized into both local and converted currency for a true apples-to-apples view.
This isn't a minor convenience — regional pricing gaps on major titles can run into the tens of dollars, and until now there's been no consumer-facing tool that surfaces that gap clearly. We're not a storefront and we don't compete with one; we're the transparency layer that sits above every storefront, which is exactly what makes the product sticky and defensible.
Beyond that core comparison engine, we've built a full ecosystem around purchase timing and retention: coming-soon release tracking, platform-specific deals pages, and comprehensive Xbox Game Pass catalogue monitoring covering what's entering, leaving, and on deck.
