xpenser is an open-source, self-hostable personal finance tracker for income, expenses,…. xpenser is aimed at indie founders, solo builders, and small teams working in databases who need a focused tool without enterprise overhead.

What xpenser does

xpenser provides possibility to track expenses and incomes shared bu different users. You can create a budget and multiple users will be able to contribute into it and see transactions tions created by others. Another useful features are automatic exchange rate calculation, automated invoice or screenshot parsing in order to extract transactions — upload your image and xpenser will add transactions seen on it into the system, you will need only to approve them. Also you can add different vendors and see where you spent money.

There are several ways to input data to the system: web site, mobile app, telegram bot, API, or even MCP access to access xpenser data via AI Agents.

You can configure monthly and weekly reports to be emailed to you and contain analysis of the transactions done during this period and comparing this period with previous ones.

All API endpoints are documented and OpenAPI manifest is provided. In geberal xpenser is built on top of the Cleverbrush Framework which is the schema-cebtric approach to build apps.
