About Startup.Ready. Startup Readiness Score

Startup.Ready. is an AI-powered startup readiness assessment platform built to answer that question before the market does. It evaluates early-stage startups across six foundational pillars (Founder Readiness, Problem Clarity, Market Clarity, Business Model, Go-to-Market, and Financial Clarity) and produces a structured diagnostic that tells founders exactly where they are strong and where the gaps are likely to cost them.

Most early-stage founders treat startup readiness as a feeling. They build landing pages, run customer interviews, iterate on features, and push toward launch with urgency that feels like momentum.

What most of them never do is stop to ask whether the foundation underneath all of that activity is actually sound.

The assessment takes approximately twenty minutes. The output is a pillar-level readiness score, an AI-generated gap analysis for each pillar, and a plain-language explanation of what each score means and what to do about it. Founders can download a PDF readiness report to share with mentors, accelerators, and investors; giving every conversation a structured starting point instead of a blank page.

The platform is built on a simple but important insight: most startup failures are not product failures or market failures. They are readiness failures. The founder ran out of conviction, or built before they validated the problem, or targeted a market too broad to generate traction, or scaled a business model whose unit economics never actually worked. These are not random outcomes. They are predictable gaps that a structured startup assessment can surface before they become expensive mistakes.

Startup.Ready. was created by Dr. Shaun P. Digan, a PhD in Entrepreneurship with more than fifteen years of experience teaching, advising, and consulting with early-stage founders. The six-pillar framework is the subject of a current book manuscript, and is grounded in entrepreneurship research and designed to operationalize the diagnostic questions that experienced advisors and investors already ask; making that level of structured thinking accessible to every founder regardless of who they know or where they are building.

For individual founders, it answers the question that most early-stage advice skips entirely: not what to build, but whether you are ready to build it.

The platform is also currently in active use with accelerator programs and innovation hubs, where it serves as a cohort baseline assessment and mentor alignment tool, with program and mentor dashboards to keep founders and their mentors, advisors, and consultants aligned.

The assessment is free to take up to twice for early-stage founders and startup programs. The gaps it reveals are worth knowing before you find them the hard way.
