About Sorted — School Newsletters, Sorted.

AI-powered event importer for busy parents. Snap a photo, share a PDF, or browse a school website — every date lands in your calendar in seconds.

School newsletters are relentless. They arrive by email, through apps, as printed notes stuffed into bags, and as PDFs attached to a Compass notification you almost missed. Each one is packed with dates — sports carnivals, excursion permission deadlines, fundraiser days, curriculum days, concert nights — and the expectation that you'll somehow keep track of all of it while holding down a job, feeding children, and occasionally sleeping.

Sorted was built for exactly this situation. It uses AI to read whatever you throw at it — a photo of a crumpled newsletter, a PDF from the school portal, a webpage URL — and extracts every event automatically, presenting them for review before adding them directly to your calendar. No copying, no typing, no "wait, when was that assembly again?"

Features

No more manually copying dates. Sorted reads the newsletter so you don't have to. Point your camera at a printed page, forward a PDF, or paste a link, and the app identifies every date, time, and event name in the document. You review what it found, confirm what you want to keep, and it goes straight into your calendar — Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or any calendar that supports ICS import.

The review step matters. Rather than dumping 30 events into your calendar without warning, Sorted shows you what it detected and lets you choose what to add. It's the difference between a tool that helps you and one that creates a new kind of mess.

Who it's for

Sorted is for any parent navigating the beautiful chaos of school life. If you have one child at one school, it'll save you time every fortnight. If you have two kids at different schools with different newsletter formats and different communication platforms, it will save your sanity.

It's a single-purpose app that does one thing very well: it closes the gap between "the school sent me information" and "that information is actually in my life."

The bigger picture

Australian schools communicate across Compass, Sentral, SeeSaw, email, and printed paper — sometimes all five for the same event. No single platform has solved the fragmentation problem from the school's side, so Sorted solves it from the parent's side. Whatever format the information arrives in, Sorted handles it.

Set it up once. Use it every newsletter. Stop missing things.
