## About Lurke

Lurke is a mobile app for reviewing changes in public Instagram follower and following lists over time. It is available for iPhone and Android. A current profile list is only a snapshot, so Lurke starts with a completed full scan as a baseline. Later eligible completed scans can show accounts that were newly detected or no longer present between observations, when the public data is available.

People use Lurke to review recent follower changes, check accounts that do not follow back, and examine changes in a public profile's Following list. The app keeps scan results together so a person can compare observations instead of trying to infer history from the order of Instagram's current list. A first scan cannot reconstruct activity from before its baseline. If a scan is incomplete, its missing entries should not be treated as confirmed removals.

The workflow starts by entering the username of a public Instagram profile. After a completed baseline scan, a later usable scan can produce a change report. The date shown is when the app observed a difference between scans, not the exact time someone followed or unfollowed. A follow that begins and ends between observations may never appear in a report. Private profiles and unavailable public data cannot provide the same results.

Lurke is designed for anyone who wants a repeatable way to inspect public-profile changes without giving the app an Instagram password. It can be useful for creators reviewing audience changes, people checking follow-back status, or anyone who wants to revisit a public profile after time has passed. The app is free to download and offers optional Pro features through in-app purchases; current pricing and availability are shown in the iOS and Android stores. Pro notifications are based on completed scans rather than instant detection.
