How it works

Setup happens once. You fill in your company profile: name, stage, tagline, and optionally one or two past updates that the model uses as tone reference. The tone lock is the differentiator. The model extracts your voice (sentence length, cadence, preferred phrasing) and reuses it on every generation so the output reads like you wrote it on a good day, not like a generic AI draft.

Each month, you paste in the raw material: three to seven key metrics with current and previous values, plus five to fifteen bullet points covering wins, lowlights, hires, product ships, and asks. FounderUpdate drafts the update in the same structure every time: opener, metrics snapshot, progress, asks, team and hires, closing. You review, edit if needed, and export.

Output formats

Three ready-to-send formats come out of every generation. HTML paste-ready for Gmail or any email client. Clean Markdown for Notion, Slack, or Substack. A board-ready PDF for the stakeholders who prefer attachments. You BCC your investors from your own inbox, which means your investor relationships stay with you and not with a third-party tool.

What it is not
