I built this app for a problem I’ve struggled with for years.

I care about my friends but I’m terrible at reaching out consistently. Not because I don’t want to. Mostly because I'm putting it off, feel exhausted by the time I get to it, or sit there overthinking it. It makes me feel frustrated with myself and leads the people I care about confused about where we stand.

That's why I'm opening ConvoFlow for TestFlight Beta today. It’s a private and low pressure iPhone app that helps people stay connected without any thinking, streaks, feeds, or tracking.

It works by importing your contact list into the app, setting a cadence for notifications, and waiting for push notifications to remind you to say hi. You can also feel free to add notes and birthdays manually to your contacts, then enabling notifications for this in the settings.

I made these decisions to optimize for my own desire for simplicity. The app is designed to not be opened once you add your contacts and set the cadence for reminders. You can also count on this app to not be another subscription burning a hole in your wallet when it launches out of beta! Since the app's architecture is lightweight and local, it will launch as a one time purchase for keeps!

When you download the app, I'd love to know if it actually made reaching out feel easier. So far for me, it certainly has. Friends I might've gotten around to texting once every few months, I've spoken with a few times in the last two weeks while developing this.

I feel a lot better knowing that my friends appreciate my texts, even if it's something I often find peripheral.

The app does not access or read iMessage conversations, SMS content, or user contacts beyond permissions explicitly granted by the user. No user data is collected, sold, or transmitted to external servers.

Our current integrations are with iMessage and Apple Contacts, and future integration is planned with Apple's on device Apple Intelligence platform to provide better prefilled text messages that adapt based on the user's notes while also respecting the ConvoFlow's local and privacy first mission.
