## About Aventail

Aventail, formerly Locai, helps organisations use AI with sensitive data while controlling which models process requests and where processing happens.

Aventail Link runs supported models on your devices. Aventail Control manages devices, models and routing policies, including approved destinations and fallback paths. External AI providers can be used where policy allows; requests routed to those providers leave the device. Aventail Workspace provides chat and document workflows.

Desktop downloads are available for macOS (Apple silicon), Windows (x64) and Linux (x64). Model and hardware compatibility varies.

Free supports personal and business use with 3 connected devices. Starter is £50/month excluding VAT, with 10 devices, higher storage and transfer allowances, and email support. Additional usage is charged separately.

Aventail is intended for organisations whose AI use cases require control over data processing and deployment destinations. Teams can start with a small deployment, check model compatibility and define approved routes before wider rollout. The documentation provides setup guidance for Link, Control and Workspace, including the quick-start workflow and routing configuration. External provider use is a policy choice, so organisations should assess their chosen destinations against their own requirements.

The free plan supports both personal and business use without a time limit.
